Inverted Method, Aeropress

This method is very popular for travelers, since this is easy to transport, prepare and clean. Aeropress works by providing pressure to pass water through the beans. This method encompasses traits from three different brew methods: Drip, Immersion, as well as Pressurized brew. This method is versatile, you can play with infusion time, grind size, and coffee water ratio.

Preparation time: 5 minutes.

Select fine, medium, or coarse grinding.

Ratio: Baristas recommend starting with 15 to 17 grams of coffee per one cup of water. (~ 2.25 soup spoons)

Put the paper filter into the cap and saturate. Grind 15 to 17 grams of coffee and place in the Aeropress. Add filtered hot water (180F) slowly, stir twice, in a circular motion. Wait 40 seconds. (pre-infusion) 

Fill the Aeropress with your remaining water. Position your body over the Aeropress and gently press straight down on your plunger for about 20 to 40 seconds.

Pour over your favorite mug, let it set for one minute and enjoy.
